Movie Review: If I Stay

Life changes in an instant for young Mia Hall after a car accident puts her in a coma. During an out-of-body experience, she must decide whether to wake up and live a life far different than she had imagined.

First let me just say this movie was absolutely phenomenal. If you having any reservations about seeing this movie...don't. This movie is tragic, romantic, funny and relatable. Mia is this girl who has such an amazing gift for playing the cello, which makes me extremely jealous. Mia is such a relatable character to so many people out there and I think that's what I love the most. She is scared to go out of her comfort zone, she's shy and she's never had a boyfriend. Well...until Adam comes along. Now I think its safe to say that almost everyone will think Adam is swoon worthy (even if we won't admit it). What I love about this movie is Adam isn't this perfect man, he has flaws like every other human being. Despite this, he is quite close to perfection with that singing voice and the way he loves Mia. He's also not the hardest thing to look at ;)

Now Mia and Adam's love is epic. It's such a beautiful story that I think everyone who sees this will love. Even if you aren't the biggest fan of sappy love stories this movie will still appeal to many people. It's not just about sappy romance, it's about loss and making decisions in life that will change your life forever. After Mia is in the car accident and she sees her family die she must make the toughest decision of her life, to live without her loving family, or to die with them.

I think this movie did the book such justice and the acting was fabulous. I can't imagine anyone else playing any character.

This movie will make you laugh, cry, swoon and every second of it is amazing.

Ps. Don't forget the tissues
